  • All applicants must meet the standard academic admissions criteria for the relevant postgraduate course.
  • The discount applies to both full-time and part-time courses, delivered on-campus or online.
  • This discount cannot be combined with any other discounts, scholarships, or fee reductions offered by dBs Institute.

4. Discount Conditions

If a recipient fails to complete a full year of postgraduate study their discount eligibility is subject to review (see below).

4.1 Discount amount and effect on fee liability:

  • The postgraduate discount offers £1,000 off the full tuition fee for eligible students on qualifying courses at dBs Institute.
  • For full-time students the £1,000 discount will be applied to the final tuition fee payment, provided the student is current and all previous payments are up to date, in line with agreements between dBs Institute and Falmouth University Finance Teams. This applies to online and on campus students. The discount is applied after the remaining tuition balance has been paid in full.
  • For part-time students, the discount will be £500 per academic year, applied to the final tuition fee payment of each respective year, subject to the same conditions. This applies to online and on campus students. The discount is applied after the remaining tuition balance has been paid in full for the current year of study,
  • All applicants are required to pay the full course deposit at the time of application, as instructed.

4.2 Interruption to study:

  • If a student withdraws from their course mid-year, the discount will be withdrawn. The student will be liable to pay the full tuition fee for the period attended, in accordance with the Falmouth University Fees Policy.
  • Students who intermit mid-year will remain eligible for the discount upon resumption of studies, subject to meeting all other eligibility criteria.
  • If an intermitting student later withdraws, the above withdrawal terms will apply retrospectively.
  • For students on part-time postgraduate courses, the discount will be applied proportionately for each complete academic year. If a student withdraws during the second year, only the first-year discount will be honoured. All fee liabilities will be calculated in line with the Falmouth University Fees Policy.

5. Allocation and payment of the discount:

  • Applicants wishing to apply for the Educational Discount must register their interest before formally applying for the course.
  • Qualifying applicants will be identified by the dBs Admissions Team, who will communicate with the Falmouth University Finance Team during the enrolment period and first few weeks of study.
  • All applicants who qualify will receive the discount.
  • Students will be notified of their eligibility for the discount within three weeks of  enrolment in writing by the dBs Admissions Team.

The Educational Discount is currently confirmed only for students commencing their studies in the 2025/26 academic year.
