Deni Pavlovic
Over the last 20 years, Deni has worked as a musician, sound engineer and music educator.

What did you do before joining dBs?  

I started my career as a musician and gradually transitioned into sound engineering. Prior to joining dBs, I taught at SAE Technology College in Amsterdam for 8 years, and then Spirit Studios in Manchester for 11 years.  In Manchester, I also built my own music studio where I have been recording, mixing and producing music for the last 20 years.

Why did you first get into studio sound engineering?

I was always interested in music production, especially in recording and mixing techniques.

Any special areas of interest?  

Acoustics.

What do you love most about what you do?

I like the creative process and the challenge of interpreting music using technology.

Tell us about your proudest career moment?

Seeing the album I mixed commercially released and available in music shops for the first time.

What do you get up to outside of your role at dBs?

I like playing drums and working on my car in the garage.

Tell us something our students may not know about you?

I would like to travel more and experience the lives of other people and their cultures.
