Plymouth Campus Open Day

Saturday 27th June 2026 | 11:00-15:00

Our Open Days are your opportunity to explore our campus, get your hands on professional equipment, ask the tutors the questions that matter, hear what current students have to say and explore the city you could be calling home.

What to Expect

What your day looks like

This is your chance to get a proper feel for dBs: the studios, the people, and what studying here is really like. Think of it as a backstage pass to what actually happens here, and a chance to figure out whether dBs is the right fit.

Day breakdown:

  • Campus tour: See the spaces where our students create, produce, and perform every day.
  • Experience the campus in action: Get hands-on in our recording studios, watch mixing demos, catch live performances and vocal sessions, try out our Dolby Atmos and Spatial Audio setups, jam with hardware synths, explore foley and sound design demos, and get stuck in with the equipment wherever you can.
  • Course deep-dives: Sit in on subject-specific talks covering Music Production & Sound Engineering and Electronic Music Production. Your tutors will walk you through what you'll actually be learning, the facilities you'll be using, and where it could take you.
  • Meet your tutors: Chat with the people who’ll be teaching you. They’re working professionals, not just lecturers.
  • Talk to current students: The best people to tell you what it’s really like? The ones doing it right now.
  • Application support: Got questions about applying, fees & funding, accommodation, or your next steps? We’ll walk you through it.
